皆さんは何かに熱中するくらい、好きなものづくりはありますか？
工作すること、絵を描くこと、歌うこと、料理をつくること…
何かを生み出すものは、すべてものづくりだと思っています。
私たち大和重工は鉄をつかったものづくりで道具を生み出し、人々の豊かな生活、
そして地域社会の発展に大きく貢献して参りました。
本展を通じて、ものづくりに少しでも興味をもってもらいたい、そう願っています。

大和重工は、広島の土地、ここで生きてきた人々の影響を大きく受けています。
それは、決して折れず一歩ずつ確実に前進する “ひたむきさ” です。
戦争により壊滅的な打撃を被った広島は、人々のひたむきな努力により驚異的な復興を遂げますが、この ゼロから立ち直る不屈の精神は、広島の企業である大和重工のものづくりにも受け継がれています。
